Applied Impact Evaluation MOOC Applied Impact Evaluation is a massive open online course (MOOC) developed by CEGA, and is designed for applied researchers interested in learning about modern impact evaluation techniques and improving their capacity to apply these skills in the field. The course covers conceptual and empirical issues related to the identification and estimation of causal effects in the context of the evaluation of social programs and public policies, and an important empirical portion is devoted to the implementation of these techniques in Stata.
Impact Evaluation Toolkit A hands-on guide on how to design and implement impact evaluations from the World Bank Human Development Network. The toolkit includes best practices for each stage of the impact evaluation cycle, such as how to choose evaluation questions, build a team, design an evaluation, and collect and analyze data, along with over 50 tools (including terms of reference for team members and survey firms, household and facility questionnaires, data-entry programs, and materials for training enumerators and supervising field work).
MICROMASTERS: DATA, ECONOMICS, AND DEVELOPMENT POLICY
MicroMasters is a professional and academic credential for online learners from anywhere in the world. Learners who pass an integrated set of MITx graduate-level courses on edX.org, and one or more proctored exams, will earn a MicroMasters credential from MITx, and can then apply for an accelerated, on campus, master’s degree program at MIT or other top universities. MicroMasters courses offer the same learning and challenge as MIT courses. All MITx MicroMasters courses are delivered on edx, and MicroMasters. The MITx MicroMasters program will consist of five online courses that cover the foundations of microeconomics, development economics, probability and statistics, as well as a new course, JPAL 102x, designing and running randomized evaluations. It also teaches hands-on skills in data analysis using the open-source programming language R.
